Huntley High School Presents “Sister Act” April 11-13

Huntley High School proudly presents the feel-good, uplifting comedy musical Sister Act.

When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place Officer Eddie Souther is sure she won’t be a found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the faithful lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Deloris uses her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, including Sister Mary Lazarus, Sister Mary Patrick, Sister Mary Robert, Sister Mary Martin-of-Tours, and Sister Mary Theresa.

While in hiding, Deloris transforms the church’s choir into a neighborhood fixture and national sensation but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, Curtis and his gang are giving chase, only to find themselves up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.

Filled with powerful gospel music, by Tony- and eight-time Oscar winner, Alan Menken, outrageous dancing and a truly moving story, Sister Act is a shining tribute to the universal power of friendship – a reason to rejoice!

Sister Act is directed by Lexy Bieber and Connor Murray, with pit band direction by Kevin Krivosik, choreography by Amanda Zgonina, and lighting and sound design by PAC Technical Production Manager, Nathan Knapke.

Public performances will be held in the District 158 Performing Arts Center at Huntley High School on April 11-13 at 7:00 p.m., in addition to a 2:00 p.m. matinee on Saturday, April 13. Tickets are $5 each, general seating, and can be purchased online at or at the door one hour prior to show time.
