Ferrante Named NW Herald Wrestler of the Year

Huntley High School junior David Ferrante was named 2019 Wrestler of the Year by the Northwest Herald, recognizing him for a season in which he had an individual record of 46-2 and claimed the school’s first-ever state championship in wrestling.

He completed a Q&A with the paper, highlighting among other things his #1 class ranking out of more than 740 students, GPA, future plans at Northwestern University, and inspirational figures.

The honor is selected by Northwest Herald sports staff with input from area coaches.
