Three HHS Students Named Finalists for National Merit Scholarships

Three Huntley High School students have been named finalists in the 2018 Competition for National Merit Scholarships.

Seniors Delaney Hajek, Alyssa Schechtel, and Zoe Zuzzio have all advanced to the final round of consideration for scholarships awarded by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

Approximately 15,000 students nationwide have advanced to the final round, out of about 1.6 million students entered into the competition. Applicants are selected based on their abilities, skills, and accomplishments.

In addition, senior Cameron Chrest was recognized as a semifinalist.
