Not only will Huntley High School’s new marching band uniforms make the Red Raiders stand out on the field, but also they’ll provide members of the public with a chance to own a piece of Huntley history.
The band’s old uniforms are being retired, and with the help of the HHS Band Boosters, they’ll be turned into pillows as part of a fundraiser to support music programs at HHS. The uniforms being replaced were worn by band members from 2010 to 2016.
The limited-edition pillows are $60 each. Orders may be placed online at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0a49abad2aabfc1-20102016.
The new attire was purchased because of growth in the band’s size and wear on the old uniforms. Alumni were provided with the prior opportunity to purchase complete uniforms. The remainders will be turned into pillows. Approximately 80 pillows are expected to the made, and will be sold first come, first served.
