Huntley 158 Parents,
This is a reminder from the Transportation Department with important information to help you start the 2016-17 school year.
For All Families
We hope you have been checking the tentative bus routes posted in PowerSchool. Please note that the information currently posted is tentative and may change prior to August 15 as we continue to adjust routes to accommodate newly registered families.
In addition, please note that we will be unable to accept parent/guardian requests to change routes made between August 12 and August 23. After that time, requests to alter your student’s route may be made by contacting the Transportation Department. Fulfillment of such requests is not guaranteed.
Likely Bus Delays
Student safety is always our top priority. Part of that commitment means that as students and drivers get used to their routes in the early days of the new school year, we will be taking all the time necessary to ensure that students are getting on and off the right bus.
This means that bus routes are likely to experience significant delays of a half-hour or more for the first few days of school, and potentially into the first few weeks of school. We understand that such delays can be inconvenient for families, but ensuring that every student gets on and off the right bus will be our priority.
For HHS Seniors
If your high school senior plans to ride a bus to and/or from school this year, please contact the Transportation Department at (847) 659-3000 or firstname.lastname@example.org to have them assigned to a route. Otherwise, seniors will not be assigned a route.
As always, please contact us with any questions.
