HHS Cheerleading Takes 5th Place at State
Congratulations to the Huntley High School Competitive Cheerleading Team, which took 5th place at the state finals held February 2-3, 2018, in Normal, Ill. With a final score of 88.49, the team finished just outside the top 3.

Three HHS Students Named Finalists for National Merit Scholarships
Seniors Delaney Hajek, Alyssa Schechtel, and Zoe Zuzzio have all advanced to the final round of consideration for scholarships awarded by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

15 HHS Students to Exhibit Artworks at Rockford Art Museum
Fifteen Huntley High School students have had works selected out of hundreds of entrants into the Rockford Art Museum 74th Annual Young Artist’s Show, running March 4-31.

Hiremath ’10 Named to Forbes 30 Under 30 in Enterprise Technology
Huntley High School alumnus Vinay Hiremath, Class of 2010, has been named to Forbes magazine’s 2018 “30 Under 30” list along with the co-founders of his tech startup, Loom.

Students Named to Daily Herald Leadership Team
Huntley High School Seniors Vongai Tizora and Samuel De La Paz were recognized by the newspaper along with other area young people for their commitment to community service. 

113 HHS Students Named ISAC State Scholars
Approximately the top 10 percent of graduates from approved high schools are announced as State Scholars each year.

HHS Competency-Based Pilot to Launch Next Year
HHS was among 10 organizations selected to participate in the State of Illinois' first competency-based education pilot. The program, launching next year, was featured in a number of national media outlets, including the Trib and EdWeek.   
ISAC Scholars
Six Schools Among 4% in State to Earn Energy Star Rating
Seven of Huntley 158's nine buildings are now Energy Star Certified, the only such school buildings in McHenry County. Energy efficiency has netted millions of dollars of savings over the past several years.
