The Registration Office welcomes new families to District 158 and assists them with the registration process. The Registration Office is also responsible for the organization and management of all student-related data.

Monday thru Friday - 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The registration process takes approximately 30 minutes.

Changing Student Information

If you need to update phone numbers or emergency contact information for your child, please email the information to the Registration Office. Be sure to include your student’s full name and, if possible, their student identification number.
Please Note – Address changes need to be made in person at the Registration Office. Unless eligible for rights under the McKinney-Vento Act for homeless students, the following documents are required to provide proof of residency:

Please provide the following:
- HUD Settlement Statement OR
- Real estate tax bill*
Please provide the following:
- Residential lease with proof of current payment AND
- Utility bill or driver’s license

* Access and print your Real Estate Tax bill for McHenry County or Kane County

Have you and your children lost housing? Are you sharing housing with others because of loss of housing, economic need or domestic violence; living in a shelter or motel; without a permanent address?
Your children have the right to stay in school; receive transportation to and from school; immediately enroll in school; receive free lunch and school fee waivers.

Unless eligible for rights under the McKinney-Vento Act for homeless students, the following registration fees are required:
Pre-School Programs $112.00
Kindergarten (AM Only) $167.00
Kindergarten (Full Day) $205.00
Grades 1 – 5 $205.00
Grades 6 – 8 $205.00
Grades 9 – 12 $228.00
