Burst Pipe, Minimal Disruption Expected for Team 6-1 and 6-3

Parents and Guardians of team 6-1 and 6-3,

As I am sure some of you have heard already from your child, there was a pipe that burst in the 6-3 science room over the weekend. When we arrived to school at 6:00 a.m. this morning, March 12, the 6-3 science room and the entire 6-1 pod area had standing water on the floor. We brought in extra man power and started the process of extracting the water. The district is now taking all appropriate steps to make sure that the classroom environment is safe and free of any damage from this incident.

Currently, there is no timetable for when repairs will be completed. While repairs are ongoing, the students of 6-3 will have minimum displacement as they will be working at the tables in the team area. We will work to get the students back to their home location as soon as possible.

I will send an update out when more information becomes available.

Thank you.
