A life-long resident of the Chicago area, Don received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and an MBA from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. As a Professional Services Director for Prinova, a Toronto-based company, Don helps companies implement large-scale print processes that allow businesses to communicate with their clients.

Mr. Drzal and his wife are active members of the Lake in the Hills community where they have resided for more nearly 20 years. They have three children who have all been students in the District since Kindergarten, two of whom have graduated from Huntley High School.

Don is a member of the Lake in the Hills Summer Sunset Fest Committee and a Little League Coach in Lake in the Hills. Don was elected to the District 158 Board of Education in 2009. He was elected to the position of Board Vice President in 2012 and in December 2013 assumed the position as Board President.

Michael Fleck has lived and worked in Huntley since 1995, when he and his wife, Karen, married and soon thereafter opened his law practice. Karen’s older children began attending school in District 158 in 1993, graduating from HHS in 1999 and 2003. The couple’s children currently attend Huntley High School.

Mr. Fleck graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and was an environmental research chemist and consultant prior to obtaining his J.D. (High Honors) from Chicago-Kent College of Law. He is currently the managing partner of Fleck & Meyers, P.A. in Huntley.

Michael served on the Huntley Area Library District (Past President) and the McHenry County Bar Association (Past President). He is actively involved in the Huntley Area Chamber of Commerce. An interesting fact about Mr. Fleck is that he was issued a patent for an advanced carbon monoxide filter and is currently working on another in advanced water treatment. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, motorcycling, and fishing, as well as spending time with his family.

Appointed to the Board of Education in January 2013, Michael also serves as the Legislation Committee Chair and is a member of the Buildings & Grounds and Finance Committees.

Kim and her husband, Mark, moved to District 158 in November 1991. Their three children, Melissa, Joshua, and Emily are all graduates of Huntley High School. Elected to the Board of Education in November 1995, Kim is the longest serving member of the Board of Education.

Mrs. Skaja has always been very active in the community. She is a founding member and past president of the Huntley High School Fine Arts Boosters, a past member of the Athletic Boosters and the PTO and volunteers in various ways throughout the school district and community. She has chaired and remains active in various fundraising events that benefit the students of District 158.

Kim currently works as an Independent Representative of Essential Bodywear and is a sales representative for Strode’s Funiture in Huntley. When not working or attending a BOE meeting, she enjoys reading, physical fitness, Crossfit, hiking and biking.


Paul Troy

A Lake in the Hills resident since 1998, Paul and his wife, Jennifer, have two daughters in District 158 schools. He is currently serving his sixth year on the Huntley Community School District 158 Board of Education, for which he chairs the Buildings and Grounds Committee and is a member of the Human Resources and Policy Committees.

Paul’s education includes a bachelor’s degree in engineering physics from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a Master of Business Administration degree from the Keller Graduate School of Management and a Chief School Business Official certification from Northern Illinois University. Work experience includes Interim Business Office Manager at District 300, and over two decades of systems engineering work in the wireless communications industry with both Motorola Solutions and Nokia.

Currently, he is a member of the Illinois Association of School Boards, where he earned distinction as a Master Board Member, the Illinois Association of School Business Officials and is secretary for the Zeta Psi Fraternity Elder Association of Greater Chicago. In the past, Paul has coached Tee Ball at the Huntley Park District, served on the Huntley Community District 158 Financial Advisory Committee, and been part of the Chesak/Martin PTA. An interesting fact about Paul is that he is fluent in Ukrainian. A hockey enthusiast, Paul also enjoys recreational golfing, cooking and travel.


William Geheren

William and his wife Mia, have lived in Huntley since 1999. They have four boys, three of whom are in District 158. Their eldest son Michael is a junior at the University of South Dakota, Tommy is in sixth grade at Marlowe Elementary, Charlie is in special education school at Chesak Elementary and Danny is in third grade at Martin Elementary School.

Mr. Geheren holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing, management and accounting from Saint Mary’s University in Winona, Minnesota. He was a former middle school and high school teacher and has over 20 years of sales and marketing experience. Currently, he is the Director of Sales for Heritage Woods in Huntley, an assisted living community. He also helped launch Huntley Community Radio as a Board Member and Director of Marketing. William is the anchor of Huntley Radio Evening News and producer, writer and co-host of “2 Dudes and The Duchess” on Huntley Community Radio.

During his limited free time, William enjoys golf, listening to music and watching football, hockey and baseball (specifically Minnesota teams).


Kevin Gentry

Kevin and his wife, Michele, reside in Huntley where they are raising their daughter Alison, who is a 2015 graduate of Huntley High School after attending district schools since kindergarten. They have lived in McHenry County since 1998, moving to Huntley in 2002.

Mr. Gentry holds a BA degree in Accounting from Michigan State University and an MBA in Finance from Western Michigan University. Kevin has over 25 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry and is currently employed by Citigroup within the Finance Department of the Retail Services division. Past work experience includes various corporate finance roles with both Sears Roebuck and Whirlpool Corporation. He is also a member of the AICPA (American Institute of CPAs).

Kevin has been a member of the Board of Education since 2007 and has held the positions of President, Vice President, Finance Committee Chair, Building Committee Chair, and Financial Advisory Chair.

During his free time, Kevin enjoys spending time with family, biking, and distance running.


Anthony (Tony) Quagliano

Mr. Quagliano and his wife, Carol, have lived in the District 158 community for 18 years, where they are raising their three sons. Joe and Jason are HHS graduates, and Kyle is currently a high school student.

Tony received a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana) and is employed at Eric J. Fernandez & Co. CPA’s and Business Consultants in West Dundee and McHenry, where he has worked for 25 years. He has been a Certified Public Accountant for 31 years.

During his free time, Tony enjoys planning family vacations, cooking, golf, and hiking. His interests include laws and legislation concerning education finance and property taxes. He was a founding member of the D158 Citizen Financial Advisory Committee and has been a Lake in the Hills youth baseball manager for the past eight years.
