This week our school is celebrating
Red Ribbon Week!
Here is the schedule of special days:
Rally in Red – wear as much red
as possible; wristbands are to be given out to everyone in the building
– (StuCo delivered 300 to each grade
level – please share!) Red strips of paper will also be given to
each study hall for students to write a drug-free message on. Please
make a chain out of your study hall’s ribbons and
deliver them to Ms. Conoboy
(7-1) by the end of the day on Tuesday.

Turn Your Back on Drugs – wear
your shirts backwards
Band Together Against Drugs –
wear your favorite rock band shirts, head bands, bandanas, etc.
Be Smart! Don’t Do Drugs! -
Students will receive SMARTIES at lunch.
This is a reminder to all students and parents that
all students staying after school are to be attending a specific
club/activity or event. Students whom stay after school to "hangout"
with friends in the supervision room will be sent home immediately.
A responsible student will be ready to work
hard at the beginning of the new quarter.
Attention 7th and 8th
graders, do you have an idea that you are passionate about? Are you
interested in telling others? If so then TED-Ed Heineman is for you.
Students will be design, create and publish presentations about their
passions. There will be an informational meeting for students after
school on Wednesday, November 5th in F213. Bring your

Attention Student Council – This Thursday’s
meeting is for the Events Committee. The meeting will be held in Ms.
Smith’s room and will end at 3:30. Please let Mrs. Smith know if you
are unable to attend.
Attention service club members- Our first meeting will be
on Wednesday, October 29 from 2:30-3:45 in the choir room. Please let
Miss Morgan know if you are able to help with the trick or treating
event on Wednesday, October 29 from 5:00-8:00PM, or if you are
interested in helping with Mackeben Market Day or Heineman
concessions. Please see Miss Morgan if you are interested in purchasing
a t-shirt and have not received a flyer.
Attention Ecology Club members. Our next meeting will be
held on Friday, November 7 from 2:30-3:45 in the choir room. We will be
working in the garden so bring a snack for yourself and a change of
