There will be a Spanish club meeting on Tuesday November 5th in Ms. Petryniec’s room. We will be making Day of the Dead crafts and enjoying some treats. There is no cost and you do not have to be in Spanish class to come–all are welcome! Please email Ms. P if you plan to come so she has enough supplies. The meeting will run from 2:30-3:45 so please arrange for a ride home or sign up for the activity bus

 

*Reminder for all 6th and 7th grade students who had art first quarter. Any remaining projects need to be picked up from the art room by the end of the week!*

 

Hey Heineman! Our first Student Council dance is coming up soon! Mark your calendars for tomorrow, November 1st! Join us for our Halloween Dance from 7pm to 9 pm. Cost is $6 with your ID or $8 without it! You can also get a $1 discount if you wear Halloween colors or a costume! Any questions – see Ms. Smith. 

 

Attention all Thursday Service Club teacher assistants- Teacher assisting is CANCELLED for today.  Please go home on your regular bus.

 

Ecology Club:  Our next meeting will be held on Monday, November 4 from 2:30-3:45 in the garden.  We will work in the garden.

 

Ecology Club will be hosting a “weeding party” after school on Friday, November 8 from 2:30-4:30PM!  We will be weeding our garden so please dress for the weather and be prepared to get dirty. Pizza and hot chocolate will be provided. 

 

Attention HMS students: the next Aevidum (uh-VEE-dum) Club meeting is next Tuesday, November 5th, after school from 2:30-3:45 in room A-202 on Team 8-2. We have lots to do! All students are welcome, and there will be snacks!

 

Sport Report: Last night the 8th grade boys played at Bernotas. The A-game won 44-29 as they displayed hard work and lock down defense. In the B-game the boys lost a hard fought close game 19-14. Keep building that much needed team culture boys and best of luck Friday and Saturday at Marlowe for your tournament!

Today/October 31st: Don’t let Drugs Haunt You!-wear Halloween colors

Friday/November 1st: Follow your dreams-wear pajamas(no slippers!)

Enjoy red ribbon week & stay drug-free! 

 

Good morning!  The HMS Service Club will once again partner with the LITH Rotary to support their Thanksgiving Food Basket program.  We will donate nonperishable food items which will be combined to create food baskets for those in need this Thanksgiving.  Please bring all collected items to the front hallway (by the front doors) by 2:30 on Monday, November 11.  

 

The annual “Toys for Tots” drive will begin on Tuesday, November 12 and will conclude on Monday, December 9.  50 pride points will be awarded per toy collected.

Homework Club runs Monday – Thursday from 2:30 – 3:45

 

If you need to take the activity bus, don’t forget to sign up by 1 p.m.  Go to the school website, click on Student, find Activity Bus and fill out the form. 

 

Please be sure you’re wearing your Heineman ID. If you don’t have it, please get a pink wristband from the office.
