Being responsible means keeping up with daily work as the school year comes to an end. Stay focused Heineman!

Attention 8th Graders: Huntley High School Orchesis Team is holding auditions starting today. If interested, please pick up a flyer in the office.

Congratulations to the track and field athletes that participated in the sectional meet this weekend. The 7th grade girls placed 2nd overall as a team and the 8th grade girls placed 3rd as a team. Congratulations to the following girls for qualifying for the state meet this weekend: Clara Hudgens, Abbey Larson, Sammi Campanelli and Jessie Ozzauto in the 4 by 100 meter relay, Jessie Ozzauto and Sammi Campanelli in the 400 meter run, Ally Panzloff and Lydia Burns in the discus.

Congrats to Eva Trudeau for breaking the 100 meter sprint with a time of 12.76 seconds, Jessie Ozzauto for breaking the 400 meter run with a time of 1 minute and 1 second, and Ally Panzloff for breaking the discus record with a throw of 98 feet and 9 and a half inches.

The ABC countdown to the end of the year continues! Tomorrow is O for Opposite Day – wear your clothes backwards.

There is an HMS/Give Love for Life fundraiser today at Culver’s from 4-8. Hope to see you there!

Ecology club:  Our final meeting will be today from 2:30-3:45 in the band room.  We will work in the garden.

Service club:  Our last meeting will be tomorrow from 2:30-3:45 in the choir room.

Attention 6th and 7th grade boys and girls.  If you’re interested in participating in a basketball camp in June, please pick up a registration form in the office. Forms are due Wednesday, May 15th.

If you attended any Spanish Club meetings this year, please check your email for important information from Mrs. P. and respond back to her ASAP.

ALL library books are due back in the library by next Friday, May 17th.

The activity bus is free this year, but you MUST sign up by noon to be able to ride it.

Please be sure you’re wearing your Heineman ID. If you don’t have it, please get a wristband from the office.

Heineman Service Club is hosting a “stuff the duffel drive.”  We will be collecting items for kids who are placed in foster homes through Friday, May 17.  Please see your teachers for a list of needed items.
