Heineman’s academic teams gave it their all yesterday, but it wasn’t enough to stop Lundahl. Way to not give up Hawks! You’ll get ’em next time!

Congratulations to the 8th-grade boys’ basketball team as they placed 4th in State out of 109 teams that competed in the IESA Regional, Sectional and State games.  The boys had a very successful season.  They were Marlowe 8th grade Invite Champions, Fox Valley Conference Champions, Overall Season Champions, Regional Champions, Sectional Champions, and 4th place State Winners!  Be proud and congratulations!!

Congratulations to the 7th grade girls’ basketball team for their 30-3 win against Lundahl last night in the first game. The win was a total team effort on offense and defense. The second game was a close game and the Hawks were lead in scoring by Tessa Garcia. Great Job Hawks!

The PTO Dine-n-Share is today from 5-8PM at Chik-fil-A in Crystal Lake. Just mention dine-n-share when ordering and 25% of the purchase price will be donated back to HMS!

Attention Spring Cooking Club: our first meeting will be tomorrow after school from 2:30 -3:45pm in the Foods Lab.

8th graders, don’t forget that Aevidum (uh-VEE-dum) Club meets tomorrow morning from 7:00-7:25 in room A202 on Team 8-2.

Attention all students interested in joining the Track and Field Team:  If you did not get information handed out at lunch, please stop by the office to pick up the information. You must be registered on 8 to 18, no later than March 8th to join the team!

There is a Color Guard clinic this Saturday, February 23rd, from 12-3pm at Huntley High. This is open to all middle schoolers interested in learning about HHS color guard and any 8th grader that is considering joining HHS color guard. If interested, pick up a flier in the office.

Please be sure you are wearing your Heineman ID. If not, come get a wristband from the office.

The activity bus is free this year, but you MUST sign up by noon to be able to ride it.
