Congratulations to our 8th grade boys’ basketball team for winning their sectionals game last night 49-39. They will compete this weekend in the state championship!!! Way to go boys and good luck this weekend!!

Congrats to the wrestling team for defeating Creekside 42-39. Individual victories came from Aiden Lira, Dylan Melco, Hersh Suthar, Jack Coleman, Ryan Matustik, and Danny Duda!!!

Congratulations to the Academic B team who defeated Marlowe in their first match of the year last night. The A team fought a good fight! Tonight’s match is at Bernotas.

Have a crush?  Want to send a Valentine pop to a friend or even yourself?  Crush Grams will be sold Thursday, Friday and Monday during lunch for $1.00 each and will be delivered next Tuesday.  All proceeds go to Hawks Have Heart.

Jazz Band has practice is today in the band room from 2:30-3:30.

7th and 8th grade orchestra students interested in Chamber Orchestra: our first meeting is today after school in the orchestra room.

There will be a Spring Cooking Club Informational Meeting after school today from 2:30-3:00pm. Those interested in joining the club should plan on attending this meeting.  See Mrs. Curran for questions.

Board game club is cancelled for today.  Our next meeting will be on Thursday, February 21st. We will take our yearbook photo at this meeting.

The next Spanish club meeting will be Tuesday, February 12th from 2:30 to 3:45 in room A216. We will be making Valentine’s and friendship bracelets while enjoying some snacks. All are welcome to come whether you have been to a previous meeting or not. Please let Mrs. P. know via email if you will be attending.

Hey everyone! TOMORROW is our Valentine’s Day Dance right here at HMS from 7 to 9 pm. The cost is only $5 if you wear Valentine’s colors! There will be concessions too! Hope to see you there!

The activity bus is free this year, but you MUST sign up by noon to be able to ride it.

Please be sure you are wearing your Heineman ID. If not, come get a wristband from the office.
