The Heineman Middle School Service Club, sponsored by Ms. Franklin and Mrs. Vitale, recently adopted a Science classroom at the Pro-Vision Academy in Houston. This school serves a low income area that has been significantly affected by flooding due to Hurricane Harvey. While some families received minor damage, many students were displaced by the storm and have lost everything. Pro-Vision Academy has also taken in additional students from other schools that were not able to re-open right away. Since many students won’t have any supplies, the school requested basic necessities to get the students adjusted to school again. The Service Club, through generous donations from our families and staff, was able to collect over 100 pounds of supplies to send to Houston. The adopted classroom was able to share these supplies throughout their school.
