Note: Any practice missed after the “season officially starts would be considered unexcused. (even family vacations). This year we start doubles August 13. That is the official IHSA start date.
We always have a daily summer camp the week after school ends.
This year the daily camp runs
on June 10 (unless we use another snow day) through June 14 from 8AM to noon.
We always have a daily
summer camp the last week of July.
This year the camp runs on July 28 through August 1 from 8AM – noon.
After this camp, the kids have from August 2 through August 12 to vacation once again. On August 13, double sessions begin.
We always give the entire fourth of July week off. This year it is from June 28 through July 6 (9 days). If the kids need to get away for more than 9 days, this is a good time to combine a week before or after these dates to get a lengthy vacation.
All other summer weeks we work out on M,W,F morning from 7AM to 11AM if you are a sophomore, junior or senior. We do have football contact, as allowed by the IHSA, during our summer workouts. If your son can not have contact for medical reasons, please let us know.
Important to remember:
Summer sessions are not mandatory. The more sessions the athlete makes, the better his chances of playing. We also have incentives to encourage attendance that the athlete can earn.
Practices are mandatory starting August 13. Two missed practices, and an athlete would be dismissed from the team – even if it was for a family vacation.
We have cuts after the first two practices in August.

FOR THE LAST WEEK OF JULY CAMP.

The rest of the summer you meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for
your regular weight training and football skills. You also have the fourth
of July week off.
