Reading over the summer months is an important opportunity for students to stay engaged and to develop a life-long commitment to reading and learning.

Students may select their summer reading from the 2015 Abraham Lincoln Award/Illinois' High School Readers' Choice Award List.  To see a list of summer reading options, please look here.

Please note that summer reading for Advanced Placement and Dual Credit courses is different.  For all details regarding the summer reading program, please see the English Department Page.

New vaccination for 12th Grade 2015-16:

Beginning with the 2015-16 school year, all students entering the 12th grade will be required to show proof of recent meningococcal conjugate vaccination (MCV).  All seniors will be required to show proof of 2 doses unless the first dose was administered after 16 years of age.  In this case, only one dose after 16 years of age is required.  This vaccination will prevent your student from a severe form of bacterial meningitis as well as other illnesses caused by this bacterium.

Please see the letter from the Illinois Department of Public Health for all information by clicking here.
