Huntley High School will hold two upcoming opportunities for students to learn about the topics of dating violence and sexual abuse prevention.
An all-school Raider Way lesson on childhood sexual abuse prevention will be delivered to all students February 26 in the form of a video. The presentation will be provided by Kate Webster, Community Outreach Liaison from the Child Advocacy Center of McHenry County.
In addition, the school on February 11 will host an informational booth with resources on dating violence, open during lunch hours in the Commons. The booth will host staff and resources from Turning Point, an organization that provides emergency shelter, counseling, and advocacy to confront violence against women and children in McHenry County.
The opportunities are being provided as part of the school’s programming in conjunction with Erin’s Law.
