FBLA Travels to Milwaukee for Leadership Conference

Huntley High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) attended the National Fall Leadership Conference in Milwaukee, WI on November 4 – 5, 2016.

The conference was hosted by the national organization for members from around the country to participate in workshops and other activities. Workshops included “How to be Worth More Money at Your Job,” “Do It Right and Do It Well,” “Service in Action,” and many more.

Each were presented by successful entrepreneurs and keynote speakers such as Louie Sharp and Patty Hendrickson. Members began and closed the conference with two motivational speakers: Harriet Turk and Randy Fox.

Reflecting on the conference, sophomore James Dargie enjoyed “having the opportunity to learn from experienced leaders.”

Huntley’s President, Zayyan Faizal, commented that he “learned leadership skills, confidence, and self-expression that can help [him] in school and in the future.”

Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, Inc. (FBLA-PBL) is the premier student business organization in the world that emphasizes business and education through competitions and community service. The National Fall Leadership Conference is one of many events throughout the year for members to participate with the organization.
