			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><h3><span style="color: #000000;">In accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA), Mrs. Karen Aylward, Director of Special Services will be sponsoring an IDEA 2004 Consultation meeting regarding Private School Students with disabilities on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.  The meeting will be held in the boardroom at the District 158 Administrative Building located at  650 Academic Drive in Algonquin.</span><span style="color: #000000;"> </span></h3>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><h3><span style="color: #000000;">As the end of the 2012-13 school year draws near, we’d like to remind families of some important information and dates:</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #993300;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Last Day of School<br />
</span></span><span style="color: #000000;">The official last day of school will be Friday, May 31.</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #993300;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">8th Grade Promotion Ceremonies<br />
</span></span><span style="color: #000000;"><em>Heineman Middle School’s</em> Promotion Ceremony will be held in the East Gym at Huntley High School on Thursday, May 30 at 7:00 p.m.</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;"><em>Marlowe Middle School’s</em> Promotion Ceremony will be held in the East Gym at Huntley High School on Friday, May 31 – 7:00 p.m.</span></h3>
<p><strong><span style="color: #000000;">Please remember:  You must have a ticket to enter the <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Marlowe Middle School Promotion Ceremony</span>.</span></strong></p>
<h3><span style="color: #993300;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Graduating Seniors<br />
</span></span><span style="color: #000000;">The last day of attendance for graduating seniors will be Wednesday, May 22.  All textbooks need to be returned to the bookroom no later than 3:00 p.m., unless the student is taking a final exam.</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;">Graduation practice will be held Thursday, May 30 at 1:00 p.m. in the central gym. Attendance is MANDATORY for all students who plan on participating in the graduation ceremony.</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;">Graduation ceremonies will take place on Saturday, June 1 at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates beginning at 2:00 p.m.</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #993300;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Food Services Department<br />
</span></span><span style="color: #000000;">Parents are asked to please check your child’s account balances online and report any discrepancies to the school cashier by May 17.</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;">No charges will be extended after May 10. This means there needs to be money in the student’s account – it does not mean that you cannot use MyLunchMoney.com.</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;">Funds in your child’s account at the end of the year will remain in the account and will be available next school year regardless of which District 158 school they will attend.</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;">Lunch Menu – During the month of May, we ask parents to check the lunch menus each week as menus may be revised in an effort to eliminate waste.</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;">Lunch for Last Day of School – Due to the number of end of year activities scheduled for the last day of school, the District Food Services Department has decided to serve a cold lunch/sack lunch on Friday, June 1.</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #000000;">If you are moving <span style="color: #993300;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">out of District 158</span></span> and have auto replenish set for your child’s MyLunchMoney.com account, <span style="color: #993300;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em>you must turn it off</em></span></span>. If you have any questions, please contact District 158 Food Services at (847) 659-6155.</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #993300;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Copies of Student Records/Forms<br />
</span></span><span style="color: #000000;">Many summer camps and athletic programs require a copy of the student’s birth certificate and/or a copy of the student’s most recent physical form. Parents can obtain photocopies of these items <span style="text-decoration: underline;">from the school office</span> for a fee of $.05 per page. Photo identification from the parent/guardian is <span style="text-decoration: underline;">required</span>. It is recommended that you call the school office to ensure an office staff member will be available to assist you with your request. Please note these items are NOT available through the District 158 Registration Department.</span></h3>

<h3><span style="color: #000000;">Students who are entering grade 6 or grade 9 will not be permitted to pick up their schedule at “Material Pick-Up Day” without a physical submitted.</span></h3>
