In accordance with executive orders from the Governor of Illinois regarding the Open Meetings Act, the Huntley 158 Board of Education’s April Regular Meeting (April 16) will be conducted remotely using live video conferencing (Zoom). The meeting will be conducted with the highest degree of transparency and public accessibility under the current circumstances.
The meeting will be available for both viewing and public participation using online tools that are highly accessible and free of charge to the public.
Attending (Viewing) the Meeting
Members of the public may view the meeting livestream as usual on the District’s YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/district158. The stream typically begins a few minutes before the meeting opens (6:00 p.m.). Meetings also are archived on the District’s YouTube channel.
There will be no physical location or attendance for the event. Board members will attend remotely via Zoom.
Public Participation in the Meeting
Members of the public seeking to make a public comment should submit comments in writing via email to email@example.com by 5:00 p.m. April 16. Please include “Public Comment” in the subject line and in the body of the email, list your full name and address. Comments will be read verbatim during the public comment section.
A live participation option will be available via Zoom for those who desire to make a verbal comment.
Participants will be recognized at the discretion of the Board President and/or designee. Commenters will be asked to state their name and address prior to delivering their comment. Those seeking to participate must adhere to Board policy to “Conduct oneself with respect and civility toward others.” This includes but is not limited to avoidance of inappropriate content of all kinds in this online forum.
