Marlowe Middle School had a full house for its annual Veterans Day Breakfast and Recognition Ceremony on November 9. Veterans and family members from the local community were served a breakfast by Marlowe students and then recognized at a ceremony including remarks and musical performances.
“You are heroes to us. We remember your achievements, your courage, and your dedication, and we say thank you for your sacrifices,” said Principal Tony Venetico to the audience, which included veterans who have served in every major U.S. conflict back to World War II. “Thinking of all the heroes who join us in this group today, and also those who are here only in spirit, a person can’t help but feel like we are standing amongst giants.”
