Marlowe Student Selected for PBS National Music Talent Search

Kaitlyn Ziebell, an 8th-grade student at Marlowe Middle School, has been selected as a contestant on PBS’ national talent search “Celebration of Music.”

The series seeks out young talents across America, offering the opportunity to perform at local PBS studios and the chance to win a guest spot performing in front of the cameras on television and live in concert.

“Celebration of Music” is hosted by Ethan Bortnick, the internationally recognized 17-year-old pianist, composer, singer, and entertainer. Musicians of all ages, specializations, and genres are eligible. Ziebell is a singer who has taken lessons in opera and performed in numerous musicals at Marlowe.

Her audition tape, below, is a performance of Never Enough from The Greatest Showman. It earned her a spot in the ongoing voting round against other Chicago-area contestants.
