On this episode of “Huntley 158 Today,” we talk with Adam Zehr, assistant superintendent of human resources, about the hiring process for those joining the District, some of the common vacancies the District is looking to fill, and how individuals interested in working for the District can get connected with opportunities.
With some 1,400 employees, Huntley 158 is the second-largest employer in McHenry County. Certified positions such as teachers and administrators typically are filled on a cyclical yearly basis corresponding with the school year. However, many non-certified and support staff positions are open throughout the year, based on the needs of the district.
The District frequently has openings for bus drivers, aides, substitute positions, food services staff, and others throughout the year. In addition, the District currently has openings for bilingual certified teachers as it prepares to roll out Dual Language classrooms at its three kindergarten schools next year.
