Huntley 158 Today: Raider Nation News

Huntley High School teacher Mrs. Gilleland and several students responsible for producing “Raider Nation News,” the school’s weekly news broadcast, stop by to tell us about how the program has grown from humble beginnings several years ago to an award-winning operation now.

In 2016-17, its first year competing, the program took first prize in the Division AA News Program category at the Midwest Media Educators Association VidFest.

The program is produced by the HHS TV Production class, which completes its work in a stuio space that was completely renovated just a few years ago. Listen as the students discuss the high-tech studio, equipment, and passion they bring to each week’s broadcast.

You can catch Raider Nation News on Fridays during the school year at the TV Production Studio’s YouTube Channel.
