More than 300 Marlowe Middle School students and staff members took part in a Color-A-Thon fundraiser that garnered more than $10,000 for Water for South Sudan, an organization that digs wells in villages that have no running water.
The project was inspired by the book A Long Walk To Water, which focuses on two young people’s experiences in area without close access to clean water.
The Color-A-Thon saw students run a course around the the school property, with several stops to get covered with vibrant colors.
