The Huntley High School Cheerleading squad finished sixth place in the large division at the Illinois High School Association state finals on February 6.
The finish was the best in school history, with the team advancing for the first time to the second day of state competition at state. The Red Raiders finished with a score of 89.73 just behind Lincoln-Way North (89.97). Joliet West won the large division with a score of 94.70.

“We were just so excited to be out there today and the experience was amazing,” Huntley coach Renee Fowler told the Northwest Herald. “To be in the that crowd will be a moment we’ll never forget.”
