Advisory: Potential Threat Resolved at Huntley High School without Incident

Huntley 158 families:

Huntley Community School District 158 became aware of threatening comments made at Huntley High School. While our school population is not in danger, we wanted to make you aware of the facts of this situation.

A conversation involving a student threat to bring a weapon to school was overheard and was brought to the attention of the District, which contacted Huntley Police Department. The student in question has been removed from the general student population without incident. No weapon was brought to school. However, the District takes any potential threat to student safety seriously.

While this appears to be an isolated incident, as always, please report any suspicious information or behavior to the police immediately. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority, and we will continue to monitor this situation along with police.
