HUNTLEY, IL – Marlowe Middle School will hold an open house on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in celebration of its 10th anniversary. Marlowe has held some form of spring celebration for close to 10 years.
The event, open to the public at no cost, will feature school-wide academic, arts, and fine arts displays, as well as performances by student groups. Attendees also can enjoy the school’s climbing wall and the opportunity to contribute to school service projects.
A special technology attraction will be a scavenger hunt using QR codes. Sports and clubs will have display booths from the year’s activities as well as raffle prizes for students and parents.
“An open house in the fall lets parents know what to expect for the school year, and that is a good thing. However, Marlowe’s Expo lets them see all of the exceptional things that were achieved during the school year in school and through extra-curricular activities,” said Linda Aubert, Expo Committee member and Marlowe teacher.
