The H. H. S. Percussion Ensemble consists of all percussion students
(Freshman-Senior), and provides the percussion section for both the
Concert Band and Wind Symphony. The class also focuses on developing
techniques on a variety of percussion instruments,
including snare rudiments, keyboards, tympani, Latin percussion, and
drum set. Students perform many styles of music in various
settings. The class also exposes the students to percussion ensemble
repertory.
The group forms the
drum line and front ensemble for the Marching Red Raiders each fall, and
students also may perform with the pep band. |
