About the Band:

The 2004 Marching Red Raiders include 61 winds, 13 percussion,

19 color guard, and 3 drum majors.

The band performs at all home football games, at local parades, and 3 to 4 field competitions each year.

The 2004 band participated in the Phantom Regiment Marching Festival,

The Marengo Settlers’ Days Parade and Competition, and the

Sandwich “Renegade Regiment” Parade and Competition.

Students in the band rehearse during the school day in 3 classes:

Concert Band (Freshmen/Sophomores), Wind Symphony (Juniors/Seniors and Color Guard),

and Percussion Ensemble. The band began rehearsals in late July,

including a one-week camp in August, and practiced

one-night-a-week from 6-8:30 “under the lights.”
